As we joyfully welcome 2026, it is a time to reflect on the meaningful journey of ArutKudumbam over the past year. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and the trust you have placed in us. Your unwavering support enables us to make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of those in need across rural Tamil Nadu.
Project ArutKanji: Hunger Relief in Rural Tamil Nadu
ArutKanji has remained steadfast in its mission to alleviate hunger, partnering with individuals and grassroots organizations deeply connected to their communities. Each month, our dedicated volunteers distribute rice, cumin, fenugreek, turmeric, lentils, and pepper ingredients needed to make healthy porridge (kanji) to 55 rural locations. In 2025 alone, our team delivered 95,170 kilograms of rice. Our efforts focus on supporting the most vulnerable members of society, including the elderly, children, patients in government hospitals, residents of an orphanage & daily wage workers.
Project ArutKalvi: Empowering First-Generation College Students after High School
Since its inception in 2005, Project ArutKalvi has supported 44 students, with 29 having graduated and 15 currently pursuing degrees in physiotherapy, nursing, medicine, accounting, AI, robotics, and literature. Witnessing their progress has been an immensely rewarding experience for all of us. For example, Mani now showcases his culinary talents at a French restaurant, while Pradeep works at a refinery in Singapore, pursuing his passion as a professional dancer. Meanwhile, Karthiga, Thilagavathy, and Mugilan are gaining experience in hospital management, and MahaSree is contributing as a researcher in biotechnology. Sabarish has joined a leading software company as an IT professional. Jansi and Pavithra have become teachers at their alma mater. These success stories demonstrate the power of opportunity and the impact of your support. We remain closely connected with our graduates, celebrating their achievements, offering mentorship, and providing guidance as they navigate life after graduation. A particularly joyful reunion in September 2025 allowed us to meet some of our past and present students, a reminder of the meaningful bonds we’ve built over the years.
As ArutKalvi continues to evolve, we are proud to see it flourishing into a vibrant platform where students connect, share experiences, and form lasting friendships. This sense of kinship perfectly aligns with ArutKudumbam’s vision, fostering a supportive community that will continue to inspire and uplift future generations.
We are deeply grateful for our collaboration with partners such as EKAM Foundation and Friends Education Charitable Trust (FECT), whose support reinforces our mission. While our donor base is modest—about 50 individuals—each contribution is heartfelt, making you an integral part of the ArutKudumbam family.
